I'll probably get roasted to death but found one at a pawn shop during lunch for 150+ tax. 10 round magazine plus 1. I like it, and reviews online seem to indicate that it will be a nice concealed carry weapon. I think it's 5.5 inches long, 1" wide, and 4 or 4.5" tall. I got home and put about 40 rounds through it(regular and sideways ) and 0 hiccups. I heard from one reviewer that it had trouble with hollow tips(all my target rounds were fmj. I'll try the hollow tips tomorrow, rain interrupted me this evening). Anyone here have one and experienced a similar issue? It was only one reviewer who had that problem and he said it also might have just been the ammunition he was using because when he cycled through manually, he still had that issue. Anyway, what are your thoughts on this pistol for concealed carry. It's not as accurate at distance as desired but then again, I hope I'm never in a situation where I'm trying to hit a Coke can from 15 yards. Every review says it's pretty accurate from 7-10 yards.

Anyone here can recommend a good inside the waist band or pocket holster for it? And let the down votes and comments about my hi point rain down upon me as well.

He needs a Jimenez micro for an ankle carry and he'll win the Trifecta!

All that is left is to buy a Llama 1911, add a Wilson slide stop and say you have a custom 1911.

He needs to re-plasti-dip that Hi Point. It's got some chips in it.

im so serious man. Well, the hi pernt part is a slight trol, but I'm serious looking for reviews of anyone who owned or has experience with using the Kel Tec as a concealed carry weapon. The outdoor board used to be a place one could come to get legit feedback. Now it's just an OT lite smh.

Kel Tec as a concealed carry weapon

I carry concealed to protect the lives of me and my family, that said I would not risk that or put my trust in a Kel Tec.

Next time you have the urge to purchase a firearm save your lunch money a few more times and go buy a single stack Smith and Wesson, Kahr, or Ruger. All reasonably priced, comfortable to shoot, and I would rely on them for protection.

I'm glad you are in the gun owners club but it's time to step it up a notch in quality.

legit. Thanks bro.

Do you have any previous experience with one? I know it's not the highest tier of side arms but it'll have to do for now. It's a springfield xds 45 at a shop and it's been there for about 2 months now but the stubborn owner still isn't willing to deal on it. That's the one I really want.

If by stubborn owner you mean the small business owner trying to make a living selling items which have a ridiculously small margin to put food on the table, then yeah frick that dude. He should give it to you for $150.

Looks like it has a long DA trigger. For a few bucks more you could at least get a brand new Taurus PT-111. They were selling them for $199.

7WT,
Although I don't have a KT P11, frequently cc a KT PF9. I shot a P11 before buying my PF9, but felt the latter generally had a better trigger and handled better for me. KT's are easy to criticize and some of it's well deserved, but some is not. I think the main problem w/ KT is spotty quality control. Most seem to perform well, but periodically one performs poorly, giving the entire product line a bad reputation.

As you've experienced, KT's don't get much love on the OB, but my personal experience has been favorable w/ both my PF9 and my P3-AT. I've run hundreds of rounds through both of mine w/o problems. KT's are not a service gun and I realize that. Before shooting mine, I did the "fluff and buff" routine found on the Kel Tec Owner's Group Forums.. You'll find it a fair minded website w/ lots of useful info.

As far as holsters, when carrying my PF9 IWB, I use the "Southern Sidekick" from R Grizzle Leather. . It's a nice holster, but after having used a "Tuck Clip" holster from Sideguard Holsters (for a Kahr CW45), I like the prefer the latter. I like the offset clip used in the "Tuck Clip". Nowadays I mostly carry my PF9 in the front pocket w/ a Bear Creek rear pocket holster.. W/ it's thicker grip the P11 may not pocket carry as well in some pants as the PF9.
