I make that trip quite often as I lived in BR for a while and my family was still in Houma. Plus I always fished out of Cocodrie. Gramercy/Vets Memorial Bridge is the best route. I can't stand taking the Sunshine Bridge way. Way too many narrow roads with no shoulders and potholes for miles. They are about the same length, but I find Gramercy the easiest drive. Also, it took me an hour and a half to make the trip from BR to Houma (And I always drove at like 10 p.m. to avoid traffic). Add 20-30 minutes to get down any one of the bayous, plus factor in the towing a boat aspect, and you are flying if you make it in under 2 hours.

Lake P area is your best(closest) bet. it's just a hard lake to learn and the fishing is more fickle.
