So I am getting compact Glock 10mm G29...will be here tomorrow. I know this is not the gun the board wants, but I got a great deal on it...so we'll leave it at that.

I already have everything I need to reload since we started reloading for my father 1980's era blue Colt Delta Elite 10mm (Yes, that one!)

I have Hornady LNL AP with four die sets, LPM primers, plenty of HBFP plated projectiles, and about 18 lbs. of powder.

Let's here from the board. What 10mm you got? Are there any good stories about close draws on hogs or anything? What have you shot besides paper and steel? Thanks. Looking forward to the replies.

P.s. I'm so far only a pistol guy. This joins a Glock 17, Sig P238 Xtreme, and Ruger GP100 SS 4".

I purchased this pistol, won't get to put my hands on it till sometime in early April. As Sig Sauer is currently assembling it.

King Ranch knows what's up. Hey man, any back story on the top one? What sights are those? Is that DE or DS serial number? It has a really cool look to it.

No, but I do know that I am in the first 200. I bought it less than 24 hours after it was announced.

Thanks. The 17 was my first gun I ever purchased..Gen 3 after Katrina. The GP100 came from my uncle which is the same way my father got his Colt Delta. I just bought the P238 for my wife to shoot and so I could have a very small gun for CCW or whatever. It's a bute!

Awesome. If she's a little shy with that P238 or recoil sensitive, let her try that GP100 with 38's. The bigger aand heavier the gun the better it is for the woman ya know.

It's a 1987 Blued Delta Elite. Trijicon nights sites. Custom made grips that I made. Charcoal blued slide and components. Color case hardened frame. Turnbull in New York did the metal finishing.

The P238 was the result of weeks of looking at different .380s. One of the most important features was a slide that was not too hard for her to rack. My 9 was too much so that was a starting point to work down from. I also wanted a hammer style with a short trigger so that it could be the most accurate short sight radius guns.

It came down to the Kahr, the colt mustang, and the Sig. The Kahr was still too hard to rack. The mustang was nice but for the money I was disappointed with the factory sights. The Sig fit the bill all around and fits her hand perfectly with the +1 mag with pinky grip.

She loved the .38s out of the GP, but still didnt think the gun fit her hand well. The trigger is far away in double action and pulling the hammer back just looks awkward.

She did put two full power .357 rounds downrange for kicks and giggles and it did break the skin on her hand...not sure what pinched or poked her. Won't be doing that anymore.

I just picked up a glock 20 gen 2 10mm. I'm not a fan of the gun at all, or Glocks in general. I wanted something to run a few 10mm rounds through. I've been looking at the STI double stack 1911 10mm but I wanted to see what the caliber was like before dropping $2k.

They have come a long way since Gen 2. What's the issue with that gun? Or glocks? For the money, they are hard to beat IMO.

The gen 4 does feel better in my hand.

I'm not a fan of the trigger. But, I'm partial to hammer fired pistols anyways. I've recently gotten rid of several of my striker fired pistols.

I hear ya. If not for getting a deal, I wouldnt be getting this particular pistol.

On my Glock 17, I paid $90 for parts and labor to get a trigger job done. After many failure to fires I ended up going almost back to stock. About the only thing out of it now is a quicker reset.

I'm becoming partial to hammer style too since just before getting my P238. I wanted something in 10mm though now without dropping >$1000. I went and looked at a Kimber that was great, $1150 before tax though.

Between the finger pads on the Gen 3 and the progressive recoil spring in the Gen 4, this gun will fit the bill.

I carried a g20 gen 3 in the woods for a long time. Perfect gun for that situation because it was always getting tree paint, branches/sticks, and mud in it. And yup, it was in a Serpa, and yup, I never shot myself.

I hate the gen 4 glocks though
