Picked up a 07 Wrangler 2door 6 speed the other day.
Had everything I was looking for and low miles.

Now off to some mods.

Lift, tires, and tire carrier by this summer.

Thinking of Terraflex 2.5 coil lift. 35" tires. Was thinking 3 inch but the 2.5 looks great and will do what I need. I would not mind 3 but the driveshaft issue has me swinging toward 2.5. I guess I could replace the driveshaft. Just one more thing to add/replace

Any other Jeep owners here?

Is it black? I just traded one in and it was effed up badly.

ETA: I will sell you a Jeep soft top for $100 if you are interested. The back zipper is stuck, but it is in good shape otherwise. It is just sitting in storage. You can pick it up in Mandeville or Hammond.

My dad has a '11 4 Door. 3.5" Rough Country lift, 35" Trail Grapplers, 18" MotoMetal wheels, SkyJacker dual steering stabilizers, all black...it's his tow-behind for the motorhome so odds are it will very rarely see offload duty. Which is unfortunate.

When he first bought it it had some cheap arse $150 2.5" spacer lift that rode like absolute shite. I started doing a bit more research for a proper lift in the 2.5-4" range. After countless hours of research, doing some homework, etc I let him know that the 2.5" from either TeraFlex or Rock Krawler was about as good as it came....so he bought the Rough Country. It's a decent lift, rides better than before, definitely flexes better as well but I don't think it'll live up to the potential of other similar sized lifts.

I wouldn't mind having my own 4 door JK though.

The Jeep is not Black. It is dark red. I wanted Black, but when buying used, you take what you can find. I like the color.
I do not need the top. This one came with both tops, hard and soft, and the Jeep is flawless all around. No scratches, dents, nothing.

Sold my old chevy last Sept and started to svae for the Jeep. My Kids and wife love it. I thought once about getting a 4 dr because of the kids but both kids and my wife told me NOT to get the soccer mom jeep.

I have a 2012 JKU with the Teraflex 2.5" coil lift and shocks with 33s. I haven't had any issues and it rides great.
Be sure to consider your gearing when choosing tire size.

Oh, I thought this thread was going to be about JEEPS. Y'all are talking about chrysler yuppie vans.

I had an '83 CJ7 and an '82 CJ7. Sold the last one last year. Wanted something more reasonable to drive.

I wouldn't mind having one of the new yuppie mobiles, but I need a truck, so that's what I drive now.

You should be good with 4:10s and 35s. There is a chart of gearing and tire size floating around the Jeep forums somewhere.
I get a lot of info from JK forum and Wrangler forum.

Just make sure you check your oil every 1k for a bit and to see if you have one of the bad engines

One of the better forums is JKowners, not to be confused with JK-Forum(Dont fall for the trap)

Jeepforum.com

The best site for anything jeeps unless you're a HARDCORE offroader then Pirate4X4.com might be a good choice.

I have a 1985 CJ7 with a 4" spring lift and 32" all terrains. I'll be buying some 33" mud tires in the near future.
