The genius owner of my rental house didn't seal off the gaps between the fascia and the concrete roofing tiles and I discovered that there's about 20 of those little bastards camping out above the bay window in the master bedroom.

Is there some sort of repellent that I can use to make sure they get out before the gaps in the fascia are closed? Don't want to smell their rotting carcasses for 2 weeks. Thanks.

At least you won't have a skeeter problem around the place. Sorry about the guano melting your house though. We got them under the cedar siding on our cabin in MN and it was like trying to get rid of crabgrass. Good luck.

Wait till the fly out at night and hang a tarp over the area that they enter through. Bats can't see shite so the tarp will keep them out until you fix the gap. My dad just went through this issue and that's how he got it done

So there's no repellent like mothballs or a high frequency emitter that can be used?

My buddy cleared his problem with a shop vac in the middle of the day. They hung tight and just let him suck them up one by one.

I have no idea honestly. I'm sure there is something out there but a tarp seems the easiest. Do they leave at night?

Co worker had a the same problem you described and this is exactly what she was told to do.
Also, call your pest company and see if they can do anything. Had a neighbor who thought she had them in their attic and the her pest company came out to see. Arrow Pest is a free consult for bats. She didn't have them so don't know what it would have cost to eradicate them.

aren't their some bat species that are protected? I know our building had a bat problem and they had to be very careful with removal procedures etc, can't just go kill them.

Yeah, they do. Just want to make sure I don't accidentally trap some in there and have to smell them after they die.

Where are you? I'll come get them. They eat bugs like a bunch of mini-machines.

it would take 30 bats to equal enough guts and meat to stink. They are tiny. just seal em up
