So tired of this crap. It took us about 5 years to finally "convince" the neighbors down the road with 100 acres to stop running dogs every day all over the 3,000 or so acres around them, including our property. We had about 5 years of peace and good hunting and now this year a new crew of thugs have decided to dog hunt the area. Saturday's hunt was completely ruined.

I understand it is a tradition for some people, but in modern times where the vast majority of deer hunters still hunt, there is no realistic way dog hunters can practice their sport without affecting the hunting on neighboring properties, no matter the property size. All these 3 strike rules don't do shite and there is little to no way for game wardens to effectively enforce the laws without an outright ban.

I'm sure. Let me guess, his response will be "we can't control what the dogs do." Same bull I heard from the guys out on the highway lined up along our property.

It took us about 5 years for this solution to work. They just keep buying more and more dogs. In the mean time my hunting is still ruined by the thugs.

It's time to ban rifles from deer hunting.

I like archery and rifle hunters are always killing all the deerz and that messes up my huntin.

Waaaaaaaa....

Quite an understatement...

Glad I'm not confined to such a bland style of hunting

My 3000+ acre swamp lease begs to differ

If your dogs can stay on your 3000 acre lease that's great. It will just run deer off of it onto neighbors. However, if they get off your lease, they should be free game

Be honest. What percentage of your hunts do the dogs end up on neighboring properties at some point?

I don't care what people do on their land, but when what they do comes over on my land, I have a big problem.

If you can't kill a deer without a rifle you're a sorry arse hunter

If you can't kill a deer without a box stand you're a sorry arse hunter

If you can't kill a deer without corn you're a sorry arse hunter.

That argument can be applied to literary EVERYTHING we use to hunt.

5-10%

And it's cane fields. Hardly messing up anybody else's deer hunting.

Then call the cops on them every time they trespass.
