Roosevelt tx. Let 4 wt does, 3 axis does, 26 in hard horn axis, and a small axis in velvet. Let em walk. There's a 33+ axis around these stands. Waiting for that elusive big axis buck.

Yes. Lease 20 mi west of Junction. Wounded warrior shot a 35 1/2 axis about 3 weeks ago. I've made two hunts in the high fence, but will likely go outside the fence this after noon. About 2600 ac total. 800 in high fence, 1800 out.

Brother in law's lease. I'm just fortunate to be along for the ride. Luckily, he treats my 10 yo like a son. He's trying to put him on a nice 8/9 pt.

Hunting in iberville on the ground over a scrape I found. Didn't see anything but I let my gf hunt with my buddies wife and she just dropped a 6pt. Her first deer ever. That 300 blackout is knocking them down!

He'll get the big head when he reads this. I and my 3 boys are super fortunate to be able to spend time together with him. I only wish we could do it more often!

Had a great shoot this morning. Hunted our timber hole for the first time this year. Our 3rd and 4th guns decided to sleep in, but at least my hunting partners son got to tag along thus morning. Shot 12 in about 15 minutes. 11 gadwall and a Brewer's duck.

Good luck T. My oldest took a 30" Axis in full velvet a couple of years ago-what a beautiful trophy it made.

I found him. Turns out it was a small spike and not a doe, but right now I couldn't care less. I was shaking so bad, Im just glad I didn't miss or worse, gut shoot him. I've tried bow hunting off and on for a few years without ever getting a shot, now I'm definitely hooked.

That is one incredible moment in life. I remember mine like it was yesterday.

Took me 5 years to finally get one. But when that arrow leaves that string it's as if time stops and the world moves in slow motion until you hear that "whaaack" and watch the nock disappear into that shoulder. Then hyperdrive when he death kicks and bounds off into a thicket. Adrenaline overdrive my brother. It never gets old

Congrats.

My hunt just got fricked by some idiots going retrieve a deer on a four wheeler where bikes aren't allowed. Drove right by me. Public land.

Paulo you are the duck king of the 2013 OB season. I don't think Choirboy has time to catch up even with all the rain they just got.
Congrats on the Brewers, hope he's going on the wall!

Here are some pictures of my first bow kill this morning.

Here's a picture of my arrow. The deer was 15 yards away and I was about 20 yards up in a tree. A complete pass-through.

A decent amount of blood on the arrow.

I found my missing vane about 50 yards down the blood trail.

I found him about 15 yards further down the trail.

Entry wound.

Exit wound.

I was using a 2008 Bowtech Tomkat 60# with rage 2 broadheads.
