Good luck OB and stay safe.

Back at work til Thursday. Went ahead and snuffed a doe out yesterday in the heat, so this week I'll work a little, cut up deer meat, and watch bowl games.

Friday the cool weather will be back (supposed to be 36), so I'll be back after something.
Good luck all.

Carthage, MS. Back in the blind where I killed the 8 point Sunday morning. Had to have been a Christmas miracle, haven't seen a damn thing since, unless you count clouds of mosquitoes.

Temp mid-60's, heavy overcast, rain imminent.

Oldest had a doe haul arse past him about an hour ago, but that's been it.

Back in the stand for the afternoon hunt
It's miserable for late December but can't shoot them from the couch
My damn four wheeler ran out of gas half way to the stand (I'm an idiot)
Hoofed it back to my ground blind over looking a small access road with tons of scrapes and huge ground rubs.
Hope to get paid back for my good fortunes so far.

Good luck this evening OB be safe

Just got to our camp in Simsboro about an hour ago. Went and put rice bran out at the 3 stands we'll be hunting this week.
The corn is piled up under the feeders. I don't know if they're still eating acorns or what.
Sitting in a boxstand on a pipeline
.270 Savage
62* with a north wind
The rain passed thru this morning and I didn't see any fresh tracks, so hopefully they'll be moving this evening.

Same with our corn feeders. Deer still eating acorns is my guess. I turned my feeders off, no need in wasting.
