It's been a grind this yr at the farm. Spending 3 weeks of November in KS definitely hurt my chances of killing the buck I'm after but it's not over and I'm not giving up. I'd just really like to get him dead so I can start trapping some of these damn yotes.

Good luck fellas

Spunky, it wouldn’t mean nearly as much if they were easy to kill.

Box with my 12 year old girl on a long green field. Buddy heater rolling . Looking for her first deer . BLR 3006
My 14 year old son is in a tripod between the creek and a field.
Savage 110 3006 for him.
Love that we can hunt together and enjoy this time. Homeschool for them when we get home.

I’m hoping to join the party late afternoon. One last weekend. Y’all all be safe and shoot straight!

Same stands as this morning for my daughter and I. My son is also in the same place. My wife decided to join the party. She’s in a ladder between the creek and a small plot.

My daughter and I saw 10 does this morning. They weren’t feeding but on the move. Was hoping buck was pushing them.
My son saw 1 small 8 and 5 does.
The does may not get a pass this afternoon.

Just crawled into my primary blind looking down our main road. Work crap made me late to the party. Hoping to see one of the last couple of good bucks on camera that haven’t been shot crossing on their way to a date or dinner.

Not hunting until the weekend but shot my 30-06 and 45-70 during the lunch break today. Both are on target. I missed a doe last weekend with my 30-06 and I'm thinking I must've flinched a bit. She was about 80 yards out and I had the rifle rested in a shooting house. I was hitting the center of the target consistenly out to a 100 yards today with the 30-06.

One big difference I noticed between the two guns is the ease of pulling the trigger on my 45-70 compared to the 30-06. That might be my culprit in why I flinched a bit. I'm planning to use the 45-70 for stands where I'm hunting 75 yards are less the remainder of the season. It sure does pack a punch but fun to shoot.
