I have some serious dollarweed infestation in my backyard, what should I be doing to knock it down to get grass growing?

I got the brown patch in my front yard. Turned my beautiful 9 month old st. aug lawn into a crop circle.

How much diesel would I need to burn down 1/2 acre? My backyard is gone.

My yard is F'd.
Pretty sure I am going to have to re sod and add a ton of dolomitic lime (not in that order). I had some soil test done and my PH has gotten seriously out of whack. My yard looks like the moon right now.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Hold up there buddy. There's two weekends left in duck season, the lawn can wait. Bump this thread on 1/31 once you finish picking your ducks and get a good nights rest.

I spot sprayed some weeds in my front and back yards yesterday. Trying to knock them out before they get too established

Kind of worried that the drought killed a couple big patches in the back. Hoping they follow back in without much ado

that'll be too late.

I've got a mix of Centipede(20%) and Bermuda(80%) and really need to know what to put down to prevent clover, dallisgrass and sedge. It always takes over and destroys my yard.

What to put down and when? I'm determined this year, until i'm not.

Do you just encourage your bermuda, or do you try to fight it back? I have a section in my back yard that the bermuda is trying to take over the St Aug.

Good lord no. It's 2 acres, in which i sodded about 1/2 with centipede, the rest i just let grow in. The centipede actually fights off the bermuda pretty well, but it wont spread past where i laid it.

Will try.

Yea lets discuss lawn care.... Hurry and Mow, weed eat, and blow the driveway as fast as possible during the weekday evenings. Spray the fence rows and edges often. There is too much to do in sportsman's paradise to waste time trying to win yard of the month. Ill never give it more thought than that

I sprayed mine with 2-4-d Sunday. Not sure if it's the right time or not. It's F'd up anyway so I figured why not.

The older i get, the more i enjoy having a nice looking yard. It's something enjoyable that i can do after a long day at work...but i'll never skip hunting or fishing for it.

About this time every year I burn the crap out of my yard with diesel/gas mix. Seems to buy me more time before the damn early spring weeds start to grow and the grass don't get near as thick throughout the year. its a win win
