I'm hoping to catch a few this year before they get slaughtered in those tiny ponds if they do stock them.

LDWF announced recently that they would be stocking rainbows in Girard Park in Lafayette in addition to the usual stocking of ponds in Baton Rouge and Ascension parish.
So yes, they will be, but it usually doesn't start till the 2nd or 3rd weekend in December.
They haven't officially announced which ponds will be stocked, but it will probably be the usual suspects: Forest park, Burbank, Perkins and one in Zachary. Along with Lamar Dixon
Can't wait!

Bump, 'cause it appears they stocked 3 parks this week. LINK

Three separate BREC ponds are now teeming with one thousand pounds of rainbow trout. You can find them swimming around at Flanacher Road Park, North Sherwood Forest Community Park and Perkins Road Community Park.

You can catch them and keep them or catch them and release them. It's up to you. But remember, you're only allowed four fish per person. And you must have a fishing license.

Ascension Parish stocked the Lamar Dixon pond with them on 12/9. Haven't heard any reports though.
