Is an electronic copy are my license valid?

Instead of printing it out because I do not have a printer at the camp if I save it to my phone will that count if I get checked?

If deer you gotta have them tags.
Heard one of those "guy I know" stories today that said someone got a ticket for using the deer tags printed from a printer and not the ones issued with perforated wax type paper.

A little secret...you're supposed to have the tags in your possession, butttt.....if you kill a deer, do the online reporting BEFORE you take it out of the woods. Not only will they not ticket you, if for some reason they did, not a DA in this state that would try to prosecute that case.
But it is as easy as going to walmart and telling them you need duplicate tags. So why chance it?

My understanding is that they are only valid if you have them signed and on your person. I dunno

I think the emailed receipt actually says on it that it will service as your license for 10 days till your actual license comes in

According to the LDWF website, all you need for the license is a copy of the PDF license on your mobile device. LDWF website
Not a hunter but I know they take that for fishing. LDWF also has an app that isn't terrible.
Not sure about the deer tags, though. Seems other posters have been OK with registering/logging their kill online and keep a screenshot of the details.

Been checked at the camp. Had not received my tags yet either explained my situation to him. Had 2 deer hanging with my name and license # on a homemade tag. Showed him the deer and the screen shot of my licenses and that I had filled out both my kills online and called them in. He asked for my drivers license and walked to his truck for about 5 to 10 minutes. I knew I was getting some kinda damn ticket. He came back asked to see my gun I shot them with. I reluctantly handed it to him thinking id never see it again. He looked at the manufacturer info on barrel. Worked the bolt handed it back along with my phone and license and said have a good evening and thanks for making his job easy.

I bought a license online and nothing has came in the mail from LDWF. Went to academy and had to pay $2 each to reprint my licenses.

If you do it online, I domt think they mail you the license any more. You have to print it out.
