Moved in last February, so the sod is just over a year old. What should I put down and when?

I'm in the BR area.

Kill weeds now. Then fertilize in late March early April.
What kind of grass do you have?

Slight highjack

House was built last May, no sod in the back yard so its mostly weeds and bare ground with a little grass mixed in... should I just hit the whole yard with a Round-Up like weed killer? Followed up by spreading some seed?

I need a plan of attack, lined out like youre talking to 12 year old

Think you have to wait to fertilize... Should have been done already. You could prolly lay down some sort of weed killer. Like weed free zone or something. Go by plantec on Jefferson near baringer foreman. Awesome people. I do all my business with them... Yup you pay a little more, but you know you're getting good info.
