Any of them Aggies? Maybe they were installing their own game cameras.

They obviously weren't trying to catch us breaking the law. This is a business.

Oh, well that explains it. Nobody in the history America has ever broken a game law while on the clock. I forgot about that detail.

A couple of years ago leaving a boat launch I stumbled across this. They tried to make a U turn on a 2 lane road with a ditch on each side to go check some people catching crawfish.

You caught us, Clyde. The entire business is just a front for our poaching empire. We keep the giraffe and other exotic animals in the back... that's probably what they were looking for.

This does not allow them to drive all over private property.

I have locked the gate in the face of a few game wardens before. They can walk, not drive.

And if they do anything to mess up the truck, I have no problem sending pictures of their idiocy to the state fleet manager.

ETA: terd if you want to email the video to the proper authorities, shoot me an email. Wldf's fleet manager will get a slap on the wrist and remind the officer of what is acceptable usage.

They eventually went through some ditches and over some railroad tracks before making it out.
yeah that's not smart, hope they called the RR and let them know so the tracks could be inspected.

Nah, he uses it correctly. I mirrored the image to flip the reel handle.

Look at the writing on his shirt.

I thought for sure you would jump all over that. It blew my mind as the thread slid off the page.

I bet I checked it 5 times last night and this morning.

Okay back to game wardens and their antics.

I have a good story about them. I was fishing with my boss and got checked. Showed him my license, fish, and life jackets. He then asks my boss for his license. My boss fumbles around and finally says, "I have it, but I think I stuck it in my other tackle box."

Game warden says, "I could call your SSN in and check over the radio, but screw it, I didn't technically see y'all fishing. Y'all have a good day."

Wrong. What does this mean anyway? I think you know, but that wording is poor as can be haha. The Sheriff has jurisdiction over the county that doesn't mean they can break into your house.

As said already, the only difference between a game warden and other law enforcement is their level of scrutiny they can use. Game Wardens only need reasonable suspicion of a game harvest or game law violation occuring to enter private property, but they absolutely must have that. Game Wardens are not allowed to just patrol private property and enter locked gates because they want to. They have to have a reasonable suspicion (very small burden of proof) that game is being harvested or game laws violated.

So yes, in the OP's scenario there is absolutely no legal reason for them to be there. They don't have the right to drive all over your property and tear things up.

FWIW, I'm all for game wardens. All I'm saying is they have plenty of limitations even though they have more ability than other law enforcement.
