Newest ford is a great riding truck. I ran through Hattiesburg last weekend and went by Grubbs Ford. I may or may not know the owner.

Never been in the new Ram but I've got a 2014 GMC Sierra that is a really nice riding truck. Very comfortable and very quiet.

I have driven the 2014 Ram, GMC, and Ford. Ram 1500 wins hands down. I am a Ford homer, btw.

Ram for sure. Standard suspension is coil sprung straight axle, air-ride optional.

That being said, I doubt you'd notice a huge difference between the big 3.

Test drove all 3 in late 2012. Ram and Ford were better than GM. May give Ram a slight edge, but went with Ford. Ram may be the best off the lot but, with it's past track record what is it going to be like in 5 years and 100k still better than Ford and GM?

The new GM is a huge difference over the 2012 lol. Test drive them. I have a 2014 GMC 4x4 and have friends with the competition that were amazed in the ride quality and how quiet it is. I'd give them a test drive.

Yeah I'd hope the 2014 GMs are better than in 2012, but ford has a new truck too that's supposed to be improved. My point remains that with the Ram... You can make something nice from the factory and sitting on the dealers lot but if it doesn't hold up down the road it's not worth the investment. What's it going to be like when the factory warranty runs out? Is it going to turn into a turd like the older ones?

I'm a Ford guy, but the Ram rides the best.

This isn't new for the Sierras; had a 2000 model and it was the best riding vehicle I was ever in.

My dad has a 2010 Ram 3/4 ton and my wife has a 2012 Grand Cherokee. No major mechanical problems but both vehicles interiors are much noisier than new and aren't holding up to the wear and tear of everyday use as well as my truck. I am WAY harder on my truck than they are.

I'm not a Dodge fan, but I should have bought one when they were offering this.

Same here and I'll second this statement.

The 5.7 and the Cummins are pretty much bullet proof motors...it's the older transmissions (XXXrfe) that were problematic. I've had good luck with the two I own and owned, but they were prone to burning up clutch packs easily. The new 8 speed is light years ahead of the old 5/6 speeds (trucks only, old 5 speeds in the cars and Jeep Cherokees were really good Mercedes transmissions). The new 8 speed is a ZF...it's very similar to the transmissions ZF sources to many high end, high powered luxury cars.
