Glad I read this. I was thinking about going to the Monroe show next week but your post reminded me about seeing the same over priced stuff and no ammo I can use. I guess I will forego the purchase of this years dreamcatcher.

Were there any CW380's at the Gonzales show?

Check Gunbroker. I've seen them on there for about $350-$375.

Could get some sweet ninja stars from a guy whose real job is running the scrambler at the fair.

Damn. Beat me to it.

Used to go to gun shows with my dad when I was little. He's a big Civil War/WWII collector (and I mean BIG). He got me and my twin each a ninja star one time to keep us happy. I lost it in the woods at my house. It was a sad day. I still go look around the woods where I lost it every now and then.

Went with a friend who picked up a $7 machete (really $15 if you count admission. I went to pick up the Mini 14 I bought through Gallery of Guns/Davidson's

We walked around googling how much we could save on everything

I ended up going because I had 2 free passes from when I won the custom knife last show.

I didn't see any CW380's in stock, I just wanted to see how it felt in my hand. I did see a P380 that I believe is the same size with higher quality components.

I asked one of the guys at a booth if he ever gets any CW380's in stock. He said he only special orders them for customers that really want them, as they go for about $150 more than the CW9's. I looked at him funny and asked, "The CW380 goes for $150 more than the CW9, did I hear that right?" He said yes, so I turned around shaking my head and walked away.

I asked another guy that was selling mostly glock and some S&W components, and asked if he was selling and trigger kits for M&P's. He said he hasn't found a trigger kit he likes for the M&P. I asked if he used an Apex trigger, and he said he got one, installed it, hated it and returned it.

I did get to meet Mike Sanders, the guy that made the custom knife I won last show. Very nice guy and we chatted for a little bit. Other than that, my trip to the show was a failure. At least it was free.
