I know most of you guys don't have to worry about this, heck I don't have to worry about this in the part of the state I hunt. But if you paid big money to hunt in South TX how would you deal with illegals crossing your ranch or lease. Would you feel safe, how much money would you spend on securing all your goods, or would you just leave it open for them to use. Would you continue hunting in South TX or would you find something else.

I have heard that some of the ranches there have ladders every couple hundred yards so the illegals can cross the high fence without cutting

There should be a shoot first ask questions later policy on these invaders.

I hear target rounds are still cheap, personally thats how I would deal with this invasion from the south.

I used to hunt quite a bit in South Texas and the camp always gave us radios or cell phones to call immediately if we saw any illegals. Fortunately I never did see any.

While I agree there are times when shooting should be done....drug traffing and things of this nature. But I would also think these people will be pretty well armed as well.

Don't really think I could shot a guy and his family looking for a better life in the US.

I'd call the authorites on their arse. Right after they finished with the old lady's flower beds of course.

A guy my friend works with has a small ranch outside Del Rio and they always have illegals roaming the property. Border patrol warned against firing warning shots since so many are armed now with the drug trafficking. They have had them sleeping in stands.

It's pretty ridiculous how common this is. Oughta treat em like dogs without collars and shoot their asses, but the democrats would be all over you. shite you have em on camera, call the border patrol I guess, but im sure they wouldnt do anything. Maybe you can make an "illegal trap", kinda like a hog trap, use beans as bait!

They say when you call the BP to let them know they will be all over your area for hours trying to track them down....so it pretty much can screw up hunting for a couple of days....

Do you try and detain them for when the BP gets there, do you risk this if you are alone. How much fire power would you bring to the stand with you.

Throw some old business cards on a plate with a sign that says "Free Green Cards" with a giant anvil hanging from a rope. You know, do Wiley Coyote style.

I would always have several 30rnd mags of FMJ on me if I hunted south TX. Get a HK-91 for a hunting weapon. It would give you the ability to unleash hell if need be.

Tough situation. As long as they aren't tearing shite up I wouldn't do anything other than calling border patrol. Unfortunately, anything more than that will probably get you in trouble.

Call BP everytime you see one or signs of one. Maybe they'll start frequenting your area more and the illegals will find another route.
