Looking to join a club on the Northshore in the St. Tammany area. Not quite ready to purchase a camper so would want to get to my hunting spot in reasonable time. Anyone know of any REASONABLE clubs with spots open or anyone with land willing to allow someone to hunt?

It's called Tensas NWR. Join the migration.

My buddy joined one between Slidell and Pearl River last year. He had one good buck on camera but never saw a live legal deer all season.

I'd rather drive to where the deer are plentiful, even if I get to hunt less often.

Dude, I feel your pain but you are going to have to stretch out a little more to get on some good deer woods.

I bowhunt the refuge with two buddies and we see plenty. All kinds too, sometimes in big pockets of 20 or more slipping through that natural tall growth. We are from that general area though and know where to climb up a tree. Not in a club either. Where we go is a hard hunt, but it definitely pays off at the end of the year.

I always see that one on Facebook as well, I think it's about 1250 a year. If I was you I would be hunting Pearl River WMA in Bogue Chitto NWR.

I hunted that parcel a couple of years ago as a guest from a member that was wanting me to join. I sat a dozen times in different stands and never saw the first deer. The club doesn't have running water, but does have a camper area. It is located off of 1088, north of I-12. For me, it was good to get out of the house and sit in the woods to see trees and food plots, but that was it.

A good club on the north shore likely won't be found on the Internet. There are a few around but they fill quick

If I were looking for a club I would look in feed stores in Franklinton (circle T) or up twoards kentwood/Amite.

I only know of 2-3 that I would call good in that they aren't completely brown and down.

Land must be owned by nature conservancy. They aren't big on feeding deer as it brings in pigs
