Yeah glad to see it... He and Mike are good people. Offered me an entire sack of oysters after a tourney in Empire once, we were both at the dock early with "boat issues" on the last day. He was buying a buch of sacks right off the boat to bring back to Alabama to give away to friends and family. Like I said... good people!

no, I'm offshore right now.

Things are gonna be very interesting today with it being opening day of teal season. I know of 2 teams that were in the top 10 after Day 1 that were run out of their ponds by guys working on duck blinds on day 2.

We were contemplating fishing or dove hunting today and decided to make a dove hunt because we didn't want to deal with opening day. If those guys aren't extremely familiar with where people hunt south of Houma, I can see them coming across a lot of people's spreads this morning and having to turn to plan B.

I would assume that Jay and Paul have been fishing the Galliano and Golden Meadow area being they are from Larose/Cut Off.

People teal hunting are crazy. The hell with Mosquitos and this hot humid weather

Thats a hell of a run.

They launching within Houma city limits which is also odd. Mostly bass tournament s run from that launch. These guys need some boats that move to get the to there spots.

Robert? I told Cajun that was going to be a problem.

Water was pumped up down there yesterday afternoon, when it goes to falling they should have several hours of really good fishing.

Yeah, I don't get why they are launching there. I guess it's to be closer to Academy for the weigh in. I'm just getting into fishing a lot of those areas, so I may not know everywhere they could go, but most of the places I would run are prime teal hunting areas.

Houma fire station launch by the golf course.

Seems like you either hit Minors and head to decade or take the ship channel down to wherever

Just saw this on the HT facebook page:

quote:

The folks at Academy have been in contact with the local CCA chapter to supply drivers to drive our team's rigs through the drive through weigh in at Academy today. However, this is the first time in Houma and unlike when the tour is in Corpus the folks at Academy have not been able to get a 100% commitment. So if there are any redfish enthusiast that are of age and want to take part in the drive through weigh in today by idling the team's rigs through the weigh in, let us know or just be at the Academy in Houma by 3:15 pm local time today...

They can't find 10 people. Hell, seems like academy could spare 10 employees for an hour.
