Try to find some clean water; that's going to be the challenge. I'd look for underwater drop offs on the ends of canals and use red eye shad pattern crankbaits.

Also, pay attention to the water temp. A change of a few degrees from one canal to the next can make a huge difference in terms of fish activity.

Going spend the weekend in the spillway this weekend. We will be around the Duck Lake area. Weather should be awesome so hopefully we can find some fish.

Before this storm and the temp drops, they were tearing the bass and sacalait up! Cool temps are going to slow it down some as will the water rise. It will be muddy.

Good luck though. Bring lots of beer.

Search Facebook for the Henderson Fishing Reports Group. It's a closed group but someone will accept your friend request. Those guys are money when it comes to fishing Henderson. Nice catches were posted recently.

Bass fishing is still kinda slow in Henderson. Caught a couple pitching a jig in the trees. Nothing big. Pitching beaver style baits has also been a producer for most of the people I talk to. Sac fishing is pretty decent under the bridge.

Just don't do like some people on there and post a bunch of memes that we've all seen a thousand times.

So if one was in search of cleaner water? Go South? Spillway? Belle River? Verret? Spillway side further south? I want to try some sac au lait maybe late morning/afternoon somewhere I have the best chance finding decent water...at least best launch spot? Any recommendations? Don't mind running/looking but want the best launch point advice so I'm not boxed in to bad water everywhere
