re: How much .22LR do you own?

The whole point of the argument is that these hoarders are driving up prices and keeping them up by soaking up all of the supply. Basic economics. Then, they bitch about supply when the same tards sit there with 32k rounds at their house and wonder why it is hard to get them
I don't have near the rounds as many people in here, but I have enough to keep me happy and not worry about finding any whenever I want to shoot.

No one is jealous that you bought some .22 ammo in the 90's and still haven't shot it 15 years later
Ah, OK, so when are you going to quit bitching at the people who are not causing the problem?
And for the ignorant here, if you store ammo properly, it will last for 40-50 years easily, even .22 ammo.

About 4-5000 rounds of 22lr. But, I'm not trying to stockpile. I just buy a bulk box when I run across it and it's a good price. Currently, I'm working on my subsonic pile. Waiting on tax stamps ready to shoot quietly!

LC, most of these posters probably weren't old enough to buy ammo in the 90s
ETA: I'm at about 7500 rds

I probably have about 3000-5000 rounds of mixed type/quality.

90% of mine was bought long before the "scare". Everytime i went to walmart and got groceries i bought some 22lr. I have several thousand rounds of stinger and mini mags stocked up from then. The ones i have bought since are when i could get a brick for $20-25. I never paid stupid prices for them. If i see some now i but a couple boxes. Im sitting on 13-15k but its something i can use, kids can use, their kids can use. Its not like its getting any cheaper so why not get it at good prices while i see it. I would rather be in my situation than the one crying i cant find ammo to shoot.

only few hundred rounds of .22, thousands each of 9mm and 12gauge though as thats what I primarily shoot

After reading the replies I feel woefully inadequate with a little under 2K. But I just haven't found it that hard to get a hold of.

I own exactly 0. I bought my .22 rifle and my .22 pistol because ammo was cheap and abundant but now that it is neither one of those I'd rather shoot my shotguns, AR, AK, and Beretta M9 while the .22s are collecting dust until the hoarders finally realize that the world isn't going to end. As much as I love shooting, I really can't stand the tin foil hat wearing "THE GUBMENT GONNA TAKE ALL THE AMMO SO WE CANT SHOOT OUR GUNS NO MORE" folks.

I'm protesting by not buying .22 LR until availability is back to the good ole days level.
Going on what, 2 years now? Still got the same 300 rds of .22 LR I had then.

Supply/Demand economics aren't taking place to bring back the supply. Since 22LR is so cheap, people keep stacking. If manufacturers were smart, they would raise prices A LOT short term in order to curb the panic buying. Even if they sell fewer boxes, the increased profit would keep them whole. As the panic mindset dies down and people stop buying, the price can slowly be lowered back down.
Perfect example is .223/556. Prices got to a stupid level and the panic buying curbed. Prices lowered slowly over the past 1-1.5 years to where it is now, cheaper than before Sandy Hook and available everywhere.

So you admit the problem is hoarders.
Damn hoarders.

I forgot I had a brick of those sitting in my shop and saw them today. They are actually pretty good bullets
