Took this from another thread and this topic came up. I mailed my application off today and was going to go IWB to carry. To tuck carry do you tuck the shirt in over it? I'm trying to think of how this works. Seems like the belt clips would get in the way or the gun would be showing. Are the belt clips longer so the guns tucks deeper?

I plan on carrying a Beretta Nano.

With tuckable holsters, the clips, velcro or j-hooks ride deep on the holster so the shirt goes between the clips and the kydex/leather on the holster.

ETA: Hard to tell, but there is a gap between the hooks and the horsehide on the holster. Shirt goes between that and the kydex and leater, as stated above. But a crossbreed... You won't be sorry.

Thanks Scuba. I figured I would have to wear my shirt out which limits me in carrying sometimes. Makes sense now. I'll probably get the cross breed. Any others to check out?

I'll typically wear a baggy Columbia or Oxford shirt tucked in if I'm going that route. I wear a suit every day for work, so nobody knows regardless with that.

the Galco King Tuk and Minotaur MTAC are all solid from what I've heard, but I've never worn them.

a must, imo. sweat dissipates very well and is hardly noticeable. also more comfortable. worth the 10 or 15 extra bucks.

tigereye,
I have a couple guns I carry IWB. When I first started carrying IWB, I always wore it tucked. I grew up ALWAYS tucking my shirts. Since then, I've become comfortable leaving shirts untucked or wearing a sweater that doesn't need to be tucked. Now I tuck my shirts prolly 25% of the time or less. Nevertheless, tuckable is a NICE option to have. Get a nice holster, as well as a belt designed for holster carry and you should have no problems easily and comfortably carrying a small, light gun like the Nano.

The aforementioned hybrid holsters have a well-deserved reputation. Nevertheless, I prefer leather. A double clip holster works well, but the Nano is small enough that you can prolly do fine w/ a single clip holster. A single clip holster w/ the clip offset from the holster makes for a slightly thinner package than one w/ the clip in line w/ the gun. I've got IWB holsters from these three custom leather makers and can recommend them highly.

Woolfe and Grizzle also make holsters w/ a single, offset clip.

I carry untucked 95% of the time but having the ability to do it is nice even if it's a pain in the arse.

Check out White Hat. It's built the exact same way but you can change out the kydex piece to use the same holster for different guns.

In the cooler months when I wear 2 shirts, I'll tuck the under shirt to help with printing and leave the outer shirt untucked. When it's warmer I just leave my shirt untucked.

I sent mine in on the 5th and waiting now impatiently. Not sure how long it takes but firgured another week or so.
Ive been wearing mine around the house trying to get use to it. I think Im too thin because even my little LC9 prints when I tuck. Maybe its just because I know its there, but I have a hard time concealing anythign but my pocket gun.

CrossBreed holsters are definitely the best tuckable holsters out there. Pay the extra money to get the j clips. You won't be sorry.
