25 - Better Boys
25 - Cherry Tomatoes
4 - Jalapeno Peppers
4 - Tabasco Peppers
4 - Banana Peppers
4 - Cayenne Peppers
A whole row of okra
10-12 Straight neck Squash

I'm trying something different this year. I planted two crimson sweet watermelons and two cantaloupe and I am going to make them grow vertical on an 8 foot tall trellis. Using small hammocks to hold the fruit.

That's going to be some type of blight if the rest of the plant is dark green and the bottom is turning yellow.

Treat with daconil or mancozeb

If the whole plant is light green and the bottom leaves are yellow, that'll be a nutrient deficiency. That'll take a fertilizer like triple 8 or 8-24-24

When do you pick?

Sweet corn has a short window of just a few days when it is ideal for picking. Be sure to test a few ears every day once the tassels begin turning brown. It is better to err on the early side than late, especially if you are freezing many of the ears. If you miss the window, your corn will look wonderful but the kernels will be soft and gummy, and the sweetness will suffer some too.

I've been proud of my garden this year, but have had to stand my corn up a few times. Yesterday I came home to find most of it down again, sitting in the mud and trying to molest my tomatoes. Stood it up for the last time, and if it falls again I'll see if it likes growing on the damn ground. corn!

Just a few pics of the progress:

Peas and beans are so thick now you can't even tell where the rows are.

And the pretty site I came home to yesterday-
