I hear alot of hunters claim whisker biscket is peace of mind in the stand.

I mean I can understand it if you're sitting for a long time and moving around a lot to keep warm or something. But like I said, there are two many drop aways that do the same thing.
Not to mention, that peace of mind from a whisker biscuit leads to a lot of newer shooters developing terrible draw form. A true drop away will help you a lot with your form.

99% of the time if people are having the arrow fall off the rest it's because they are shooting too heavy of a draw weight and torquing/jerking their bow when they start their draw.
A shooter should be able to comfortably draw their bow from a seated position. If they can't, then they need to drop their draw weight.

I went to a Brick & Mortar shop to check out some bows this past weekend.
Dem Prices sure be high.
Didn't see any Elite's though.
Been reading alot of bow reviews lately, and they regularly get top reviews.
(Now, how much is the author being compensated to "assist" bow companies? IDK).

100%. My point was just that a WB is conducive to becoming comfortable with jerking a draw.

Thats my plan this year is to shoot from a sitting position... Ive only bow hunted for the past 4 years and I still have a lot to learn. I'm guessing you guys just put the seated part of you climber in a lower position to get your bow out w/o having to stand...seems that would feel really awkward.

I lean my bow forward and it rests against the upper part of my climber with bottom cam in my crotch. I stand for every shite I can. I have only had to shoot twice sitting, and both were hunts after a rain where I could not hear steps.

I could see it useful if they sneak up on you like that.... I had a big problem of not getting high enough in the tree.... after about 24-25' up... seemed perfect.

Mine has adjustable straps on the seat cushion. I raise them as high as they'll go to give myself as much room to shoot over the rail as I can. I lay my bow across the front rail of my climber.
I prefer to stand to shoot, but a lot of our woods are rowed pine and select cuts with little to no cover and if you stand you'll get busted more often than not (even from 25+ feet up)

I gotcha...Im gonna have to try that this year! Beats standing up and possible making a shite load of noise and being seen. Thats the worst part to me is making the transition from sitting to standing.

I have a Summit Viper. I cut the front rail off and just use it as a hand climber now. I rarely hunt out of a climber though. Mostly just lock ons.

The whisker biscuits are popular hunting rests because they are simple, rugged and easy to set up.
I personally never shot one but would imagine that there would be some element of noise that would occur when drawing an arrow across a WB but it may be minimal to alert deer close by.
A well tuned drop down is awful tough to beat in so many ways. I went to them years ago and never looked back.
As for speed it's nice, but only if the bow will be quiet. Given the choice I'll take quiet every time. A deer jumping string will move ALOT faster than any increase in speed can account for.

Also 9fps slower at 30yds, and 11fps slower at 40.
That is more useful info IMHO. Tells the difference in drag on the arrow via using a WB.
I always wondered if they upset flight more at the launch. When the arrow launches it bends on both axis(s) so I would imagine it would be banging lft/rt/up /dwn against the WB as it loads up at launch.

You can always trim your biscuit.

I know it's not the norm but I'm standing 80-90 % of the time when on stand. Have had too many times through the years when big boys showed up or moved where sitting would have ruined the chance at a shot. But I do usually set up with the bottom of my stand hanging at 23-25 ft up.
Hunt lock ons @ 40% of the time and use my Summit open shots for the majority of my hunts.
FWIW every P&Y on my wall (3 but should be @ 9 but for Mr. Murphy) was taken from a climber on the first hunt of the season in that given area.
