Me either, but I will not buy Remington any longer. That being said I may have enough corelokt stored up for my 308 that it will last the entirety of my hunting career.

For my wife and son who shoot 308 and 7mm 08 recpectfully, I have purchased the Hornaday customlite ammo. Prior to that I had the Hornaday Super performance 150 gr SST for the wife.
they grouped pretty well for me. I need to sight in with the customlite loads though.

First group before adjusting sight.

Second group adjusted for 1.5" high at 100.

Note we had a hard right to left gusty wind that day.

I switched from Winchester to Hornady SST and have really liked the results.

All those will drop some pork dead in its tracks.

FWIW, my dad's Winchester model 70 shoots Hornady SST's best. Then again, he handloads them to shoot sub-moa. This is the same with all of his deer rifles that he, my brother, and I all shoot.

The only factory rifle ammo he's hunted with in YEARS is .35 Whelan because he cannot get the same velocity with factory powder as Hornady can in their Superformance loads. I'm not talking a small margin either, I'm talking 200-300fps difference. Hornady sure knows how to get some impressive velocities, even if some people aren't pleased with the accuracy.

Hornady is the most inaccurate bullets I have ever shot. I thought my gun was screwed up trying to shoot that crap.

I dropped a doe in the neck at 80yds yesterday with this round. I mean dropped and didn't move....until 10 minutes later she got up and started walking again with a big hole in her neck.

I use the SST to reload for my 300RUM. I have found it to be the most accurate hunting round for me.Keep in mind the SST is designed for long range, and just like Tigeronthe hill said high velocity will cause seperation. That lil red tip is there to make the bullet expand at long range once velocity has dropped off quite a bit. I have seen seperation out to 250yds. At long range range it performs excellent. Keep in mind,it's still excellent at short range too.

I can understand that, I suppose. The likelihood that my personal spending habits will affect a company that large is simply non existent.

That being said, you non discretional spenders are funny to me. Why in the world would I choose to give my hard earned money (of which I already have 30% stolen from me) to anyone that I dislike or disagree with? I have other options, and I choose to use those.

Great info on the SST! I had no idea about all that. That explains why my dad has seen jacket separation within 150 yards with his .270 loads.

I purchased 3 box's at the same time last month, 7mm-08-139 SST all with the same lot number. Sighting in a new rifle, 1st box went through fine, next box the first five loads all tumbled hitting the target side ways. Picked up the next box and they shot just fine. I'm not sure if I'll continue with Hornady.

You need to contact Hornady. Assuming your barrel has the appropriate twist for a 139 gr bullet and is shot at appropriate muzzle velocity, those bullets should never tumble.
