That shot is actually a LOT harder than it looks. I had a 6 point run straight at me from fog like that. That will pull your pucker string quick. By the time I saw him, he was only about 60 yards away and hoofing it straight at me. Your flight or fight kicks in and your body is trying to decide to pull the trigger or GTFO. I shot him at 10'. Still not sure who was more surprised, him or me. Was a come to Jesus moment for sure.

Yeah must have been France or some other European country where he was hunting. Probably can't even own a damn side arm there

Earlier in the thread someone mentioned you are allowed a sidearm if you have a CCW. Is this accurate?

I don't know the law in LA, but wouldn't it have to be? I mean unless there was a sign on the gate that said firearms are strictly prohibited. A CCW is a CCW, be it in the woods or the mall

I have said this before, I don't get the people that are so deathly afraid of hogs. During the summer if I am in the woods I almost never carry a firearm.
That video didn't look so much like a charge as a hog that was running from the dogs and basically ran head first into the hunter.

CCL holders can carry even during bow season unless on WMA

I haven't looked at the laws and regs lately but I think the bow hunting regs specifically say that you can only carry a .22 with rat shot.
Also, a CCW license doesn't overrule all other laws. You still can't carry firearms into some places.
