To add to this. Make sure you make the same stroke on every blade. If you have them all filed one way, and just one blade filed differently the cut wont stay straight. Will start to curve because its pulling in a different direction.

IIRC, I gave mine to downshift, but it is set up so you really can't do it wrong. Was only like $30. You're only supposed to file them from front to back

I was just saying in case he decided to old school it with a hand file.

It still uses a round file. It's just a guide with a line at 30* to help you keep the angle right. You still have to do it.

I just use a round file if I'm taking my time and drinking beer. A quick touch up on the tailgate is what that thing is best for IMO.
