man, I am jealous...for many years I spent the first week in June fishing out of cocodrie. that is typically when the trout hit the beaches....

Headed down Friday, going to my spot and should limit lol. Also going the 11th thru 14th. Trout fishing is good right now.

Headed down Wednesday for the CHS rodeo in Fourchon, but will be staying on the island.

Historically we do very well around this time of the year, but last year the fish weren't stacked up on the beach yet. If the stories are any indication this year will be a good one.

I agree the fish seemed to be stacked up this year like a few years ago. We went and caught a limit damn near every weekend in 2012

Last year was an off year for speck fishing in general... Tons of dink trout! This year all those short trout have grown a couple of inches!
I'm still throwing back short fish, but not nearly as frequently as I was 12 months ago!

I agree the trout this year have all been nice we threw back two fish last Friday, all were 16 to 18 inches. I ain't mad lol

That's nice to hear. I had better luck in the fall and the fish were better quality then too.

How and where are they biting? Going down Thursday morning with a buddy. Gonna hit off the highway for a little while. Boats not making its way down till the afternoon. Just trying to get a picture of how things look.
