The way you posed the question you kind of asked for the OT in the OB to come out.
I'd check with JB, he might process it for you for a cut, win/win.

Not from BR, but a few eeks back we went to Bergeron's and I think I remember seeing a sign saying deer drop-off around back.

I knew that was coming. And thought about saying the same thing, buts it's thanksgiving, and I refrained.

Cutrer's slaughterhouse in Kentwood. Look them up on web.
Their smoked sausage is the best I've ever had.

Not sure where it's held, but they come to BR 2x/wk (I think) to a farmers market. I'm not sure about processing wild game, but they do special orders for ppl and bring them to BR each trip. Maybe they'll take the meat in BR, process, and bring it back for you to get

Tried their deer bacon last season, and I along with about 20 other ppl that I had try it, really like it

If you're closer to the Central area then there's a guy on Denham Rd. who's really good. Travelling north on Joor Rd., turn right onto Denham Rd. and he's the first or second place on the right. I wish I had his contact info.

Bergeron's. Been bringing it there ever since they opened and always get good stuff. I might be biased though, they are family.

His name is Gerald Reid.

I used to take all my deer to Vines. I bit the bullet and bought all the supplies and now make my own. I use Rebel seasoning and smoke it. It comes out as good or better than anything I've had done. It's just time consuming as hell.
