Actually I did a dragon last year

But it isn't holding a 1911 or a glock. It's a crossbow.

Your carving game is unreal.

How long for the bass and dragon?

Acquired touch or something you were born with?

It took about an hour for the bass. Hour and a half for the dragon.

I've gotten better over the years. I haven't gotten into the whole scraping thing yet. I was gonna try to do a badass tiger this year using some of that technique but I have two kids under the age of 2 and just didn't have the time.

man, both of those are awesome...

have you ever done any decoy carving?...I know some folks who carve wildfowl and I think you would be very good at it...

Never did any decoy carving. Sounds like fun though. I enjoy doing things like that.

Here's a few others I did for this Halloween.

Do you do that with a special knife set and how do you get a good pattern to cut?

This is pretty much all I use.

Most of the time I just search images on google and draw them on the pumpkin with a marker. I used to draw a lot when I was a kid so some of the skills stayed with me.
