My Kubota. Every spring it gets Southern Lawn Trimec. If any Virginia Buttonweed makes it through that, I'll hit it with Metsulfuron. With all this rain, I'm seeing some sedge that I'll spot treat with Certainty.

I meant triplex mower

Killer striping, I figured it was something with rollers.

Haha, just caught that myself. I thought you were referring to a three way herbicide. I'm not used to the reel mower terminology anymore. We've switched to all rotary turf mowers, and we use the term "gang" to describe the decks

I've spent entirely too much time on those Toro field mowers.

Sod was laid in the front in November...have only cut it 3 times so far but I'm pretty excited how it's growing so far. The back was just laid about a month ago so I haven't fertilized it yet. You can tell where the dogs are tho lol

Wow...I wish our HOA would let us do that...I'd have a killer lawn..and wouldn't have to spend as much on Scott's and the like. It'd burn that damn annual bluegrass crap too.

I don't burn it in the winter. When I first start to see it green up I burn it. This year that was March 21. Takes about a week for it to green back up.
When you burn the old thatch off the ground will be black so it heats up the soil faster plus it is getting direct sunlight. Think about how much all of that old thatch insulates the soil keeping it cool. My brothers Bermuda grass still has not greened up because his soil temps are still in the 50's and the new grass is shaded from the sun.
Three days after I burned mine the soil temp was 63 degrees and my brothers was 47. We live about three miles apart.

You have to remember in Bermuda grass all of that brown grass is not going to green back up. It's dead. The new grass has to grow through that.
