Grass question

Here is what 99% of my yard looks like:



But I have about 10x10 foot area that looks like this:



Any ideas?

Google image brown patch and see if it looks similar to your yard. Happens when there is too much water/rain and it can't dry properly (at least that was what I was told when my yard got it last year).

If not brown patch, it could be cinch bugs.

This week will give you a good idea if it is draining properly or not. It could be a wet patch and just soaked everything.

If not, you may want to put down a couple of patches of sod, and basically start over.

Throw a match in it and burn out the diseased area. (assuming you're not in a subdivision)

I got the same thing in my yard. I think that centipede grass. Supposed to green out when it gets hotter.

I put down weed n feed this weekend and I'm going to put some green food down in a couple of weeks. Curious to see how it turns out.
