Hey guys, headed to Grand Isle this weekend. Have 2 boats (both inshore, beach and bay). Any recommendatios would be much appreciated. Haven't fished the island since early last year. Flounder, reds, specks, sheepshead, etc.
Thanks. Tight lines!!

terrible weekend, im staying home because of the forecast
i would recommend trailering the boat to leeville or catfish lake (both locations are more wind friendly) and hitting some ponds with dead shrimp/cocahoes for reds.
if you launch in grand isle head north, just be careful crossing the bays with 25-30 knot winds

the wind isn't going to help in leeville or CFL either. he'd have to go all the way to bessons to the canals.
in leeville he could at least stay in the east/west canal and hit the ponds off of that.

east wind this weekend, id fish the west side...
looks like bessons is the best bet or if launching in leeville, running to little lake and fishing the east side of it.

I recommend avoiding naps on the beach. The police down there have it out for sunbathers, apparently.

that's not even pronounced the same as bessons damn out of towners can't pronounce anything right so yall have to make up nonsensical terms... like this mythical "grey duck" place ya'll ask me about all the time

I don't care how it's pronounced, I was just trying to figure out if you were misspelling it on purpose or not.

its not misspelled, that was the old owners last name before Jerry bought it.

last name is besson. I'm not even sure why that sign is spelled like that... but then again the launch on the bourg-larose highway is spelled wrong too, letters backwards and all
but, this launch is about the best bet with the wind blowing Saturday.

For what it's worth the previous owners were Lurey, aka Bason, and Jeannette Terrebonne. Jerry and Vonnie Savoie bought it in January of 2014.

What's the story with that big house boat looking thing that's tied up? There was a smaller one last weekend but that big one has been there for a while but I've never seen anyone on it.
