Why not learn how to spell before making a generalization about an entire town from the actions of one or two people

I got my info from Wikipedia

I concede that it was misspelled and will refrain from blaming it on auto correct. I can also tell that you have local ties and that means I most likely know you or your parents. That means my generalization is more than that. It is 40 years of seeing how things are done in that part of the world. If you could read you would understand I did not lump the whole community into my statement but rather said
quote:

Just your average everyday swamp rat from Monterey
which means the swamp/river rats from that area do in fact all share some of the same attributes.

shite my buddy whose land and camp is in Monterey was telling me the other day how there neighbor at the camp had past away. Then tells me that a well known guy whos named would be recognized from there was arrested for getting alligator tags and permits in the deceased guys name so he could hunt his property. I have been there and around that area a good bit and will say there are a lot of good folk but shady frickers as well.

You are correct, there are several groups down there. Most are fine folks but the swamp rats are a different breed. We had a couple different camps on a few different lakes when I was young and I learned quick that it was better to be friends with the swamp rats rather than fight them. Hell, we have a swamp rat on the other side of the river now that could deal us some misery if he chose to.

Anyone can frick with other peoples stuff when they're not there. There are other names for them tho: cowards & thieves. They are the rural equivalent to people from the ghetto & trailer trash. Same shite, different toilet.

Regardless of the law, I generally do not have a problem with people killing deer to eat whenever they are hungry. I'd rather poor folk kill a deer in their yard at night in April instead of using government assistance to purchase lesser quality meats at the supermarket. That being said, these cats were far beyond that.

I have a problem with people that hunt other peoples land. If he needs food, he should hunt legally like everyone else.

So do I, as should any responsible person. I don't have a problem giving a hungry person every tomato out of my garden, but let me catch that fricker coming over at night to pick em and my stance on the matter quickly changes.

So let me get this straight. The dude's got a crossbow, .444 and night vision, but has to run over the damn doe with the boat? What a mo-ron.
