In the process of buying a used 18 foot bay boat. Any recommendations on a GPS/Depth Finder ? Would like something that I can mark fishing spots on. Budget is up to $500.00 . New to this forum, everyone has been very helpful, I appreciate it.
Thanks
Thanks

I have the Legend Chartography Geaux Card. It covers south of I-10. It is a satellite image with navigation markers and other obstructions marked. If you want lake topography this isn't the card for you, but it is awesome for fishing marshes of south Louisiana.

I have the 9 with a navionics card. But I've seen Civiltigers card and it's pretty legit.

I made my own maps using two programs, I can get you them if needed. The legend card is the best for the money.

WHODAT - does it take you a couple days to complete the last step of the map build on Insight Map? I have one running right now zoomed to 19 that has been building for over 2 days now.

Yes it can depending on area, I made smaller areas and combined them. Worked better and doesn't have all the area I do not use or need. I have all of the major sela marsh fishing spots. If anyone wants them. Only for Lowrance hds or elite

I have a humminbird 998C You could probably get a bigger screen if you went to a humminbird.

I have heard a lot of guys using the Geaux Card over the Standard mapping card. I believe it covers more area.
