Why not mount it to the front of that front basket rack? That would seem way more convenient to me.

I had it mounted like that, but that expanded metal flexed too much. It would eventually tear it. Plus it would be the first thing hit running over a sapling.

If you were gonna do this, why not mount it on the front of the four wheeler? Do you just want everyone to know you have a light bar? Cause you could have went up higher with the brackets

Is there room go hang it under the front of the basket? Set back so it's behind the front plane of the basket?

Tried hanging it under the basket. Didn't fit.

Although the do make a slim light bar that would fit.

I coul turn the brackets around and mount them to the front of the basket... But then it's out front where it may hit more tall stuff I run over.

Mount it so that it hangs over the front edge of the basket. But behind the front lip.

right. Make a housing out of some sheet metal to keep it protected from other stuff in the basket, and have it facing out shining through the mesh

This seems like the ticket.

You put it under the basket, and you lose all of the light that will throw upwards

I feel like this is one of those threads 'that didn't go as OP planned'.

Why does it need to be so high? Looks like it would work with it being only about 1/2 as high just fine. I would think as said you could even put it in the basket behind the mesh and it would still throw plenty of light through the mesh.

Why didn't you just mount it on the front of the basket, using pieces of the bracket to back the expanded metal?
