But you didn't know that policies have animal exclusions?

And you said most new policies. Considering SF is the largest and they do not, I'd say that's wrong.

But you are also making the assumption that since SF does not have an animal exclusions, NO policy has animal exclusions.

I remember well. In particular we had a doberman in the neighborhood that would bite and after every kid that passed in front of its house. We were scared to death, but our parents never batted an eye. We were simply told to avoid the house.

It was just part of growing up. The parents might get involved if the dog was particularly vicious, but it was mostly on you to avoid the animal or learn to deal with it. A squirt gun would often work. Maybe add a little ammonia if he was particularly aggressive. Often, simply turning around and charging the dog while yelling was enough to send him away.

growing up we had a buddy up the road whose neighbor had a doberman that was kind of aggresive. the buddy was fat and we were walking out of the cane field when the dog got after us one day. It started biting him on the arse since he was the slowest person. A cocker spaniel belonging to another neighbor came out of nowhere and latched on to the doberman's throat. It looked like the bunny from the Holy Grail flying through the air after that thing. it killed that freakin doberman.

No, no...what I posted was,

I am actually going to be more surprised if the homeowners insurance had animal liability that covers that breed of dog.
There would have to be an exclusion. There are none in the policies of the companies I represent( 3 big ones).

These discussions go better when you stop trying to play gotcha games.

Not trying to play gotcha games. The companies your represent do not have animal exclusions. The companies I represent, most of them have an ineligible list. We will leave it at that.

I would have stabbed the beast to death because like any God-fearing red-blooded American I carry a large pocket knife clipped to my pocket.

My go-to move with dogs is to grab their rear legs just above the feet and swing them into any hard object near by. Dumpster, tree, van, whatever. Repeat over and over until no more screaming.

Just because it's a breed that looks wolfish doesn't mean its a hybrid.
