Got a ticket from Green Jeans

I have been fishing along 90 for the last 5 years with no license. I know, I'm a lazy frick.
So, I had a nice bluegill and a half-pound bass. Suddenly I hear "How's the fishing going?"
I said, "Not too good." When I turned around, voila, a LA. Wildlife Officer.
He was nice, wrote me a ticket and let me fish for the rest of the day.
50 bucks, might have to start a gofundme site.

I'm like that with Brake Tags. I spend three months dodging cops rather than spend $10 and twenty minutes to be done with it.

In VA. If your inspection sticker is more than 2 weeks overdue. You will get a ticket on the 15th day. They are brutal.

Same....I have more important stuff to do than renew this inspection sticker that's been expired since May of 2014. Guess I need to address that.

Government requiring a fishing license is a pure shakedown. It's not like you have to pass a test or something to show you can be trusted to fish.
It's as blatant a money grab as if they required a license for kids to play kickball in the backyard.

It's a use tax that helps pay for enforcement and conservation.

No, I was fishing on the south side of 90 before the culverts.

I'm a bit of a procrastinator myself from time to time, but man, you can buy your license online now. Takes 5 minutes.

I used to do the same thing...stress myself out over ten bucks.
thankfully, they abolished the vehicle inspection program here in MS last July...
