After a few beers, (the more the merrier) at dusk spray diesel on it, let it soak. That should do it.

If you are really brave get a leaf bag and put it over it and pull it into the bag then tie it up and send it to Iran marked "suicide vests"

Nighttime assault with a big can ( or two) of wasp/hornet spray.

If you didn't mind replacing some tin you could perforate it a few times with a .22

I wouldn't used diesel, to much of a risk of burning the shed down. Get you a pump sprayer and mix some Dawn with water. Spray wasp/hornets right before sunset.

Ok, I got it, (after a few beers I get really creative). Place yourself on the other side and elevate even with the roof on a stool or something. Get a shotgun loaded with #8s and blast the nest after dark after they are all in bed. If you shoot parallel with the rafters you should be fine.

I'd just tie a mildly soaked kerosene rag to a long stick, light it, and then just hold the rag to the bottom of the nest and set it on fire. Ain't nothing there that's gonna burn, but the nest. And the nest won't burn up like newspaper. It'll just burn slowly. Do this after dark, though, so you'll kill all of em. Be forewarned, though: Hornets WILL follow a flashlight beam. (FWIW, I have burnt em out like this before.)
