Good pair of binoculars?

I'm gonna be purchasing a new pair of binoculars before Christmas and am getting overwhelmed at the amount of options, I like the feel and power of a more larger pair rather than a smaller, sleeker set. Looking to stay around or below $250. Most recently I've been looking at Vanguard Endeavor 10x42s and these Vortex Diamondbacks. I've also looked at the Bushnell Legend series but there's some negative reviews out there about poor build quality (focus knobs clicking/sticking, eye cups falling off etc) and I really don't like that they are made in China. Open to any suggestions or comments on the 3 I listed above.

Folks rave about Vortex optics on here. I own a Vortex Strikefire (I believe) scope for my M&P 15-22. I like Vortex's no hassle warranty program.

I got these Leupold's for 300$ They are great and every time I have sent them in to get cleaned they just sent me back a brand new pair. Eagles optics also produces some very good binocs. Most professional bird watchers that I know use Eagle for an intro to mid-range set.

Of your three I'd go with the Vortex Diamondbacks. Excellent binocs for the money. You can get them for $10 less from Eagle Optics.

I've been using Eagle Optics Ranger 10x50 for more than a decade, they are a bit more than the Vortex.

I've been looking for a good pair for the last year or two. I had never heard of Eagle Optics, but they look like a good price for good optics. I was leaning toward Leupold, but I just ordered a set of the Ranger ED 10x50. They are about $100 cheaper than the Leupold. Thanks for posting!

I recently purchased the Eagle Optics (they make the Vortex also) Ranger 8x42 ED. Bought direct from Eagle Optics aprox. $325.00 no tax, arrived in two days. I also have the Vortex Viper rifle scope. Would not hesitate to but again . Great products, great warranty.

I've got the Vanguard Endeavor ED. Had a $50 manufacturer rebate. Very happy with them.

I just wanted to come back here and say how happy I am with the eagle optics binocs I bought. I took them out for the first time this week and they are unbelievable!!
I got the ranger ED 10x50. They are so clear and allow me hunt that critical extra 5-10 mins in the evening. I was happy with the price and quick shipping also. I highly recommend them!

Thanks for the feedback. I've really liked the Ranger 10x50's I've had for a decade; they came out before the ED's were available and I will probably upgrade soon since the ones I have are a bit beaten up by now.
