Any of you have good/bad experience with a certain brand?

Mine has popped a couple fuses lately and I've narrowed it down to the pump pulling more amps and about to burn up. It's not easy to get to and I don't really feel like changing it regularly.

That being said, what brand you guys recommend?

just replace the cartridge when a pump goes bad. No need in totally removing all the plumbing etc.

my frontier came with tsunamis, I like them because you can just change the head out when they go bad you don't have to pull the whole unit out. they work very well, attwood makes good pumps too.

Yeah, i have tsunamis in my boat as well. My livewell pump has blown fuses on a couple different occasions. I'm going to try and replace it and see if i have the same issue.

My Nautic Star has all Atwood Tsunami's for live wells and bilge pumps. Had a couple of them go out, but only because I left the water pickup pump running when i was in less that a foot of water and it picked up mud and sand.

Atwood.
We leave them running all night and all day with a timer on them, will last for 2 or 3 seasons easy.
As for the fuse problem, a new cartridge will probably fix that to Geau.

Shurflo Bait Sentry's have done well for my offshore applications, ~40 gallon well with 10-15 1-3lb or 50/60 smallish hardtails or pogies has never been a problem. I've had my cat for 10 years and am only on my second.
