I've come to learn lately that these stupid fish can be very fickle about colors.. Biting a sexy shad one day at a certain time but a green the next day..

What's your rotation on colors you try before you say screw it and leave or switch to a worm? Do you change it depending on the depth and type of water/time of day?

Also I've just about never used a spinner but have seen some throwing them and mentioned on here.. When are these useful? (color?)

Eta: tldr, I'm a noob I know, and TIA

For cranks, sexy shad, has to have the black dot on it, red eye pearl, and baby bass. I've caught bass in one spot one day on sexy shad, then the next day they won't want it and hit the red eye pearl but those two are my "go to"

For spinner baits, I favor white skirts and silver willow blades. I know others that use chartreaus (sp) with gold willow blades as the first thing they throw everywhere they go.

Spinnerbaits - white or Chart/white

Cranks - all depends on where I am fishing and what the bass are feeding on. Cant really say just one color.

I always try white/black and then I will switch to some wild color for spinner baits. I always get better results with gold blades as well.

Almost always start out with chartreuse and white spinnerbait with gold blades no matter where I am.

Crankbaits just depends on where I am and when it is.

Spinnerbaits I always fish a blue, white, and yellow skirt. Always rumba doll or humdinger. I bought a couple hundred dollars worth of rumba dolls years ago before he originally went out of business. I don't trust any other spinnerbait really it always out catches anyone I am in the boat with. Crank baits I usually fish some kind of shad color.

Spinner bats chartuerse white

Cranks try to match prey but the mirrow lure Texas chicken works well for trout for some reason
