My tomatoes and cucumbers are done. Still getting a few bell peppers. What's next, and when to plant? Is it too late to plant another round of tomatoes/cucumbers?

cool. I planted broccoli/cauliflower last year but the heads stayed small. I think I planted too late.

You can plant peas right now. I usually plant cucumbers again around this time. There are a couple varieties of tomatoes that are supposed to do well in the heat. I tried one variety once (Phoenix something) and had moderate success. They aren't as good as early tomatoes, but better than most store-bought.

Peas are producing their second round right now. I pick and shell daily. Eggplant is still healthy but never really produced right.
Everything else is done and dried up.
Will plant mustard, turnips, and cabbage in Sept.

In NW Arky, I'm only in week three of tomato heaven.
I picked 50 yesterday....and I didn't plant a single plant. All volunteers from last year
Carrots were great this year.
Beets were great, although the greens were poor.
Kale was rough, not much of a cool spring.
Chard did great, as did all lettuces.
Hoping for a great fall garden. Last year was a disaster, with good freezes in Nov and a December that was nearly dark for twenty days. I know a pig farmer who lost some pigs because the solar fences went down we had so little sunlight.

You are still in the window to plant pumpkins, but they will take your whole garden to grow

I kept one of my creole tomatoe plants in the ground all through the summer last year and at the end of September/beginning of October it pushed out another dozen or so.

I've still got okra making like crazy. My tomatoes are mostly done. Gonna get my turnips and collards in the ground in September, and I want to try some carrots this year.

Planted pumpkins, lots of em. Unfortunately they were closer together than they needed to be and several in the middle are dead for the most part. First time doing it though, so I guess lesson learned.

I have the following:
tomatoes (just about done- maybe one a day)
a lot of okra
eggplant with a lot of blooms, but not many fruits
snap beans with blossoms
I am thinking about planting a few tomatoes this weekend, otherwise I will be gearing up for my fall garden.

You can plant purple hull peas (awesome taste & production) tomorrow & be picking peas in mid-late Sept. Then I plow them under & put in my collards/turnips/cabbage...
Planted mine 2 weeks ago after squash/zucchini petered out, will be picking week after Labor day...

Got some peppers still coming in. Question, I'm using pots due to limited space, what can I plant that will grow in a pot in the fall?
