$200 for 0-4 yr olds
$300 for 5-13 yr olds

As of June 1 this year, everyone will be lumped into the $500 pricing tier.

Meanwhile Texas is 1,800 fricking dollars, no matter your age.

It takes 25 or 26 years of buying the supercombo to break even.

Ridiculous.

Holy smokes - worth it if you are a lifer in Texas but hard to justify that if you hit a certain age or have a career that could relocate.

If you just want lifetime fishing you should do it NOW and not get any gear licenses added on. When the new licenses go into effect the gear licenses go away and are included with a fishing license.

Not too bad if you reside out of state. Pays for itself quickly with kids and in about five years for adults

I am about to buy my 5th lifetime license.

I’m hoping at least one kid really likes it and becomes a hunting partner.

Oddly enough, it’s my two girls that have shown the most interest so far and it’s their licenses I’m scrambling to buy now. Paying the price for missing their 0-4 window but will save $400 doing it now before the new cost.

Still not bad, considering my sportsman is like $75 with all the fees and crap every year. Both of my kids have a lifetime.

Those aren't the same prices that are on the website unless that isn't Louisiana.

From what I understand, there won't be a breakdown for infant or youth anymore. $500 for everyone until senior

Best thing we ever did for all three of our children especially since we moved to Mississippi four years ago. I even bought my eldest a lifetime MS for $500 now he has both states. I am still thinking of getting the MS lifetime for myself but it’s $1,000 figure it’s about a 12 year or so payback at that price.

Can you buy a lifetime license if you live out of state? I've got a lifetime Alabama license, but I live in TN now. I don't hunt TN much, but I would get my boys a lifetime AL and MS if I could.

There are out of state lifetime licenses for some states. But it’s also about 3x the cost as well. But if you live in that state, get a lifetime license , and then move out of the state. They will still honor the license.

I was just about to ask if anyone has been able to get a second state's Lifetime license after moving, or if they somehow disqualify you from doing that.
