My propane grill I've had for 10 years has bit the dust. Replacing parts and such don't make much sense economically. My patio has a natural gas line available for me to connect a grill to and I'd like to find one that's free standing (like your traditional propane grill) but can run a line directly to the nat gas line.

Suggestions? Not an OT baller so the $5500 grill from Shoppers Choice is out of my range, for now.

Plenty of options.

Usually just buy a LP to NG conversion kit.

anything that burns natural gas will burn propane and vise versa. Generally you just have to make an adjustment in the regulator (flip the inner piece around) and then tighten the nozzle where the gas comes out. On some burners you have to change the burner nozzles. On stoves pretty much all stoves come with the burner nozzles, but BBQ pits sometimes don't (sometimes do)

Simple to convert any way.

My non has a weber. Just a basic one in natural gas. She keeps a cover on it and it sits outside year round. Like 5 years old and still looks new.

The grill itself get super hot. The big dig on them was that they don't get as hot. That thing has been up to 650+ a few times and it gets there pretty quick. I don't really notice a difference between it and a propane grill honestly.
