What the best thing to do right now to start fixing a backyard completely covered in clovers?
Yard was neglected for ~6 months with large flood displaced dogs living in it and I want to get it back right for the spring.

Weed free zone for starters. Prolly need to fertilize as well. If you are in BR, go to plantec. Nice, Knowledgeable folks and carry everything you need. I go there for everything for my yard and for plant shite for the wife. I stay away from the big box joints.

Not real sure. Don't think it's centipede. In BR. Whatever's standard for this area.

Even if you're not sure of the grass, the WeedFreeZone by Fertilome should take care of the clovers.

Did i read correct this kills bermuda? Or not now while its mostly dormant? I'm worrie about putting it down in my front yard cause i have some larger areas of bermuda mixed with my centipede.

I have a similar problem, but.... nut sedge took over after the flood.

I have st. Aug/Bermuda in some areas. Most is just trash grass right now.

Weedfreezone as well?

WeedFreeZone is a three way broadleaf killer... Totally safe for Bermuda (which has an extremely narrow leaf blade.

You're in kind of a pickle....St Aug and Bermuda almost always require different chemicals, or vastly different concentrations to selectively combat weeds. Almost need to chose between the two, and spray to kill the other. But no, WeedFreeZone will not kill nutsedge.

For my yard the spray weedfreezone didn't do anything.

Get the granules and spread them, it worked really well.
