Thats what Im afraid of at the bridge. Stacked up like that even at night? What time were you fishing?

Dice, went out there 2 times when I got my yak....gar hole. Heard of it being good back in the day though.

If you get up early enough to make it down to the Fort while the water is still glassy, try making fan casts every 20 yards or so with a topdog or mirrorlure. I've not tried that, but I bet you can catch some trout like that and maybe a red.

I am going to go one afternoon and just look around, see what I need to do the next morning. I want to get out there before sun up and hit it hard. Ill just fish the bridge at night since Im close to it. I MIGHT try to make an evening trip out to the fort also.

ETA: Are there any specific lure colors I need to be looking at?

If you sneak into the caribe tons of fish off those damn empty boats slips and stone break particularly at night. On live shrimp we have caught white trout and specks as fast as it hit the water and lost a few nice bull reds and black drum too so check your line often. I like to put a few green lights out and chum it up for fun too.

Bring your yak man. U can fish all over the place. In the am if you go past the caribe 100 yards or so by the big pole you can catch the hell out of spanish Mackeral and little kings on live shrimp spoons, etc.

But there are a lot of black tips and bull sharks, last year I looked down into the Caribe Marina and saw three 7 footers cruising though the harbor. So i would be careful fishing big baits out of yak or you are going to get pulled around. It is very deep there and water moves sometimes at incredible flow. You may need big sinkers. I would go with live shrimp, gotcha plugs, and gold spoons

Back side of Ono island at night fishing those pier lights with an incoming tide is a blast spec fishing. Limited out on mirrodeans two nights in a row last year in my boat. Parents had a condo at the Caribe so it was a quick trip.

Alright, MattStin, just want to make sure you're aware of the pressure you're under now to catch a shite ton of fish. You've got 4 pages of recommendations, tips, and spots. This is arguably the most assistance I've ever seen on a thread regarding fishing one particular area. The eyes of the OB are upon you. Don't screw up and we're gonna need pics. This is much bigger than you now.

Unless it is case sensitive, it should be fine. Throw yours up for just a sec and I will send you a test email.

PROFIT

Got to the point at about 7. Water had major chop, caught a few reds and hardheads on shrimp under cork. Quit biting so I did the suggested egg sinker with shrimp and that shite was nonstop.

That big bastard worked me over for about 15 minutes. Once again, the OB came through for me in a major way on this information!

BOOOOOOM
