I have never been satisfied with cheap sunglasses. I find i take better care of a more expensive pair plus my eyes don't hurt me after a day on the water. My eyes are very sensitive to glare on the water. I just bought a pair of Costas yesterday from Academy $159. Brine in tortise with 580P amber lenses.

I've always used the Renegades from the fishing section in Wal Mart.

I have a pair of Costas and you can definitely tell the difference, but I find the Renegades to be the best cheap glasses out there.

Yeah you can tell the difference but cheap sunglasses are better than none. Hell my last pair of $20 LSU glasses bought from a vendor near the old Alex Box lasted me 2 years till I finally broke down yesterday and bought some good ones.

Same here. Cheap sunglasses last me about a month or two. I've been having my pair of Costas for about three years and haven't lost them yet, or scratched the lenses.

When they finally disappear I'll probably break down and buy another pair.

You'd be amazed how responsible you'll be if you ever have an expensive pair of shades.

I've got enough to be responsible for that to worry about a pair of sunglasses. Just buy a few pair of cheapos and you never have to search too hard for a pair. If they get scratched, pitch them away.
