What does a cord run for? My aunt had some wood cut and the a-hole loggers cut down a bunch of trees on our side of the line. They also left a lot of good tops and wasted some good trees to get to other trees. Just curious what a cord would go for in south ms and around kentwood/amite area.

You can go back and edit your first post on this very subject, just FYI.

I'm seeing prices of $200 to $250 a cord around here.

Dad already did that. Aunt gave him 5 years free on the lease the cattle are on. He wasn't a happy camper. Their version of a select cut was a clear cut. Also sorry about the double post, not sure how to delete it.

You have some contact info where I can get some firewood at that price? Everything I have seen for a cord around BR is $250+
Thanks!

Damn that's high. I pay $80 for a face cord in N. MS but I have to pick/load it up at the farm supply store.

Same by me. Of course that would be somewhere on the Northshore though. Down here, 1/3 cord is like $125

I haven't seen a ric at that price in a long time. I got a half at 65 last week, but it was truly 24 wide. Maybe if you are getting some 14-16 inch long wood it is that cheap?
