Had a birthday a couple weeks ago, mom and wife got me a new CZ452 American left hand in 22lr.

Put the Bushnell 3-12x FFP scope that was on my 308 on it and now I have the perfect companion/trainer for my 260. I dont know if Im going to put a rail on the front so I can mount the atlas bipod or just get a cheap bipod for it.

I did get to shoot it yesterday at Honey Island. With federal automatch this thing is stupid accurate. I wasnt waiting for a ceasefire to put up a target to get zeroed. Just started shooting at the steel plate at 100 yards. 3 round later, was smoking it. Later we put a paper target at 50 and had a couple one hole groups.

Cant wait to get some wolf match or lapua ammo for this thing.

I mounted a scope on my 452 Trainer and did not like how it made the gun top heavy. I much prefer the iron sights, although that is not an option with the American. Damn fine gun you have there.

I am amazed she even found one, let alone knew which one to get.

Well I had signed up for the alerts at buds guns shop. Like 8 months later, they got them in. I mentioned it to her and said I wanted it, but it wasnt the right time and it was just a want. I had already traded into a 10/22 and dont really need another 22. I guess she remembered and passed the info along to mom, who ordered it.

very nice. always nice to have a training setup like your primary.

I have a Winchester .270 w/ a leup3-10x50. run a marlin .22Mag w/ the same magnification scope (though not Leupold since it's just a .22). both are nice walnut stocks w/ stainless barrels, scope and rings. basically clones.

and the .22mag is a fun small game/varmint hunter too. taken some smaller hogs with it.

Congrats, kengel!! That's a FINE looking, high quality gun. Although I don't have a CZ, I DO have one on my "bucket list" of guns. Nothing wrong w/ a Atlas bipod, but I've been very happy w/ the various Harris knock off's I have. I've taken them on a number of ground squirrel and prairie dog hunts and been very pleased w/ them. I bought a Caldwell from Midway and a NcStar from Amazon. I hope you can find some match ammo soon!

BTW, it's refreshing to see someone purchase a 22 LR that's NOT a Ruger 10/22 or an AR type 22. Plz tell us more after you've had a chance to shoot it more.

Ordered some Eley Club ammo, hopefully it comes this week.

I like the Atlas, Ive had Harris and some of the knock offs. The knock offs, the way I shoot wouldnt last a year. They may last under the weight of this 22 though.

Ill put up a range report after the Eley ammo comes in, at roughly $90/500 its not cheap.

champion shooter supply

They have all the Eley types. One thing I was hesitant about, they do not calculate shipping at time of purchase. Apparently they email you shipping cost, they have a good reputation and havent really raised prices.

All I have shot out of mine is bargain Remy and CCI SV, and I have still been extremely impressed with the accuracy.

Did you get the 5 or 10rd mags?

Mine came with 1 5 rd mag, itll work for now.

Just got the invoice from champion shooters, $20 for shipping. Now I know why they dont tell you until after.

After checking other places, its about the same shipping costs. I have no idea why a 3 lb box cost $20 to ship though.

Can't remember what I got mine for, but the price was lower than online. Same place in Metairie has another one sitting on the shelf right now
